ABOUT FACEIQ BIOMETRICS

The Science of Facial Anthropometry, Democratized

FaceIQ was founded to bridge the gap between academic maxillofacial research, evolutionary aesthetic geometry, and user privacy.

01

Our Core Mission: Empirical Precision Over Subjectivity

For centuries, human aesthetic evaluation was confined to artistic intuition or commercial marketing. In recent decades, reconstructive plastic surgeons, orthodontists, and evolutionary anthropologists demonstrated that human facial attractiveness is fundamentally mathematical.

FaceIQ turns those dense medical papers into deterministic, automated software. We compute bilateral cranial symmetry, the golden ratio ($1.618$), gonial ramus divergence, and palpebral inclination with sub-millimeter coordinate precision.

02

Zero-Knowledge Client-Side Architecture

Most online face raters operate as predatory data collection funnels. They require users to upload high-resolution selfies to centralized cloud databases, creating permanent biometric surveillance risks.

FaceIQ took the opposite engineering approach: Zero Cloud Uploads. We compiled Google's 478-point MediaPipe FaceMesh model into WebAssembly and WebGL shaders that execute entirely inside your device's browser memory. Your photograph never leaves your hardware.

03

Research Standards & Anthropometric Citations

Our algorithms benchmark facial proportions against recognized peer-reviewed anatomical standards:

  • Farkas LG (1994): Anthropometry of the Head and Face — Neoclassical facial thirds and interocular width canons.
  • Marquardt Golden Decagon Matrix: Transverse vs. vertical facial height golden proportion modeling ($1.618$).
  • Arnett & Bergman (1993): Facial keys to orthodontic diagnosis and soft tissue cephalometric analysis.
  • Bashour M (2006): An objective system for measuring facial attractiveness based on symmetry and averageness.
